CSS Cascading style sheets, what are they?
CSS is a great way of building your web site.
Using style sheets gives you the advantage of easily changing text and other contents of your site with a simple mouse click.
This website, was built (text wise) completely with style sheets giving us the advantage of changing any part of the visible text with ease.
So what can it do?
Basically, if for example, we wanted to change the size of the body text for the whole website, and say for example, the site consisted of 60 or more pages, how long would that take?
If your using the conventional system of editing one page at a time in HTML, hours and hours.
The beauty of CSS is, you can simply change that text style to a different colour, font make it bigger or smaller, bold or whatever you choose and the whole web site will change to the new style how good is that?
I remember way back when i had to edit the text on a 96 page website to a lighter shade this took me so long i just had to find an easier solution, no way was I going to repeat that
episode, now, with CSS, I can just make the changes in a couple of minutes!
